Masaki Tanaka
Macroeconomist
Masaki Tanaka (田中 雅樹) is an economist at the Research and Statistics Department of the Bank of Japan. He received a Ph.D. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis in August 2025, a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Tokyo, and a master’s degree in Economics from Washington University. His research interest lies in macroeconomics — especially macroeconomic policy, price theory, and macro-finance. He is currently conducting research projects related to unconventional monetary policy and population aging.
